Carlos Alcaraz Clinches 21st ATP Title
In a stunning display at the Queen’s Club in London, Carlos Alcaraz has clinched his 21st ATP title and second victory at this prestigious tournament, sending a clear signal to his competitors just ahead of Wimbledon, which is set to commence in eight days.
Victory and Winning Streak
The world number two triumphed over Jiri Lehecka in the final, extending his impressive winning streak to 18 matches – the longest in his burgeoning career. Starting off the tournament, Alcaraz carried no expectations, aiming merely to get acclimated to grass courts and refine his play.
“I came here with no expectations at all; my goal was to play a few matches and see how I performed on grass,”
he explained after securing the crown.
Looking Ahead
Alcaraz’s victory at Queen’s is reminiscent of last year’s journey when he won both the same tournament and following Wimbledon title, making him a contender for a rare summer double in 2024.
