In an official statement regarding his new role, Bibeau expressed enthusiasm about joining the Red Bull family and highlighted that the transition felt seamless for him and his family after spending the last two years in Europe.

He acknowledged Bibeau’s extensive international experience and his ability to instill calmness and consistency within the team’s dynamic. Winkler emphasized the significance of having Bibeau bolster their goaltending lineup, especially with the rigorous DEL schedule coinciding with the Olympic season ahead. With Bibeau in the roster, they have completed their goaltending quartet, which now includes German national goalie Mathias Niederberger, Simon Wolff, and Matthias Bittner.

As Red Bull Munich competes, they currently occupy ninth place out of 14 teams in the DEL standings, having secured four victories against five defeats in their nine matches this season. Taro Hirose stands out as the team’s top scorer, accumulating 11 points. The lineup also features several former NHL players, among them Tobias Rieder, Adam Brooks, and defensemen Ryan Murphy and Dillon Heatherington.
