Burnley secures Netherlands international Quilindschy Hartman from Feyenoord

Burnley FC Strengthens Defense with New Signing

Burnley FC has bolstered its defense by bringing in left-back Quilindschy Hartman from Feyenoord, marking a significant move in the current transfer window. The 23-year-old Dutch player inked a four-year deal with the Premier League side, although the transfer fee has not been disclosed. Hartman is the second addition to Burnley this window, following the acquisition of goalkeeper Max Weiss from Karlsruher.

Permanent Deals and Squad Solidification

In addition to this new signing, Burnley has solidified its squad further by making permanent deals for several players who were on loan last season, including Zian Flemming, Marcus Edwards, Jaidon Anthony, and Bashir Humphreys.

Head Coach’s Strategy and Player Background

With Hartman now in the mix, head coach Scott Parker gains another option in the left-back position, aiming to create healthy competition with current players Lucas Pires and Humphreys as the club prepares for its upcoming Premier League campaign.

Hartman, who recently debuted for the Netherlands national team in October 2023 during a match against France—where he scored in a 2-1 loss—has earned four caps for his country. Notably, he unfortunately missed out on the chance to be included in the Netherlands’ Euro 2024 squad due to an injury, but he has expressed an interest in pursuing a career in darts once he hangs up his football boots.
