Brooklyn Nets Make History in 2025 NBA Draft

In an unprecedented move, the Brooklyn Nets made a splash during the 2025 NBA Draft by utilizing all five of their first-round selections, a feat unmatched in the league’s history. As the anticipation builds for their Summer League debut, which kicks off next week in Las Vegas, the Nets showcased their roster for this exciting event on Saturday.

New Additions to the Roster

The team is set to feature notable newly drafted guards, Egor Dëmin, picked eighth overall, and Nolan Traore, who was selected nineteenth. Joining them are three additional first-round draft picks:

  • Drake Powell – Forward
  • Ben Saraf – Guard
  • Danny Wolf – Forward

Experienced Players Joining the Summer League

In addition to their rookies, the Nets are bringing seasoned players to the Summer League. Center Drew Timme, forward Tosan Evbuomwan, and guard Tyson Etienne all contributed to the roster last season and remain important figures, with two currently under two-way contracts.

Coaching and Upcoming Matches

Steve Hetzel, an assistant coach with the Nets, will return to guide the team during this summer’s competition for the second consecutive year. Their initial matchup is scheduled for next Thursday, July 10, against the defending champion Thunder at 5:30 p.m. The Nets will continue with further games against the Wizards on July 13, crosstown rivals the Knicks on July 15, and the Magic on July 16.
