Birmingham City Football Club’s 150th Anniversary
This year marks a significant milestone for Birmingham City Football Club as they celebrate their 150th anniversary. In honor of this historic occasion, the club has revealed a new home kit for the 2025-26 season, with contributions from none other than NFL superstar Tom Brady, who co-owns the club.
New Kit Design
The reimagined uniform features a striking all-blue design, inspired by the club’s earlier playing kits dating back to their foundation as Small Heath Alliance in 1875. This completely blue ensemble includes matching shorts and socks, evoking a sense of nostalgia for long-time fans.
The kit’s design is also complemented by golden accents, showcased in the badge, sleeve cuffs, and sponsor details, emphasizing the club’s rich heritage during this landmark celebration. The sponsor, Undefeated, a prominent sneaker and apparel company based in Los Angeles, continues its partnership with Birmingham City following an extension of their original deal made in 2023.
Tom Brady’s Involvement
Tom Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion, joined the club’s ownership group in 2023, bringing with him a vast global audience and clout. His involvement in this kit launch is expected to elevate the profile of Birmingham City internationally, enhancing fan engagement as the club looks to cement its place in the Championship after last season’s promotion from League One.
Last year saw the team overcome fierce competition, notably besting Wrexham, who also secured promotion under the ownership duo of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. Brady’s participation marks a continuation of his commitment to the club as an advisor, aiming to boost its presence worldwide.
Excitement for the New Season
In a promotional post shared with his 15.2 million Instagram followers, Brady provided a teaser of the new kit, generating excitement ahead of its official unveiling.
Birmingham City fans can look forward to seeing their team debut this new home strip against Ipswich Town on the evening of August 8, which coincides with the start of the new league season. Not only does this launch symbolize a new chapter for the club but also celebrates its storied history, including iconic players like Trevor Francis, who was the first footballer to transfer for over £1 million, and current luminary Jude Bellingham, who has made his mark in both English and international football.
