Bayer Leverkusen Signs Lucas Vázquez
Bayer Leverkusen has completed the signing of Lucas Vázquez, a seasoned veteran who has earned five UEFA Champions League titles during his time at Real Madrid. The 34-year-old wide player, who excelled in a right-back position in recent seasons, joined Leverkusen on a two-year contract, which will last until June 30, 2027.
With his move occurring after his departure from Real Madrid this summer, Vázquez enters his new chapter as a free agent. Known for his strong tactical awareness and technical skills, he will don the No. 21 jersey as he aims to bolster Leverkusen’s performance.

Vázquez’s Career Journey
Vázquez’s football journey began in the Real Madrid youth system, followed by a loan spell at Espanyol, before he returned to Madrid in 2015, where he became known for his versatile playing style, particularly filling in for Dani Carvajal, a former Leverkusen player. His illustrious career with Los Blancos included three straight Champions League victories in 2016, 2017, and 2018, reinforcing his status as a player of high caliber in European football.
