In an emotional Instagram post, Ribeiro shared a family photo taken in Rio de Janeiro near the Christ the Redeemer statue. He expressed gratitude, saying, “About a month ago, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. I had surgery today and everything went well, thank God. I continue my recovery, with faith, the support of my family and all of you. Thank you for every prayer and affection. Having you by my side makes all the difference.”

So far this season, Ribeiro has made 53 appearances, scoring three goals and providing seven assists. His last game was a 1-0 victory for Bahia against Flamengo, where he played a key role in the team’s success.
