KeShawn Murphy showcased an impressive performance, scoring 25 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, while Elyjah Freeman became the hero of the match by tipping in a missed shot with just 1.4 seconds left on the clock.

The Tigers’ comeback was ignited when Tahaad Pettiford sank two free throws, bringing Auburn within a point of the Wildcats with 14 seconds remaining. However, a turnover by Kentucky gave Auburn a second chance, though a key block by Mouhamed Dioubate at the other end prevented an immediate score. After Murphy missed his tip-in, Freeman secured the win with a successful follow-up shot. Kentucky then struggled with their inbound pass and failed to get a shot off, sealing the victory for Auburn.

However, Auburn fought back with a quick 10-2 run that narrowed the gap to 48-47, led by two consecutive layups from Murphy and a 3-pointer from Pettiford.
The back-and-forth continued, with Murphy leading a 12-0 surge to give Auburn a 57-53 advantage. Yet, Kentucky countered with a series of free throws and a dunk from Oweh to regain control and briefly lead 74-71 with just 18 seconds to go.
