Arsenal’s Pursuit of Cristhian Mosquera
Arsenal is actively pursuing the acquisition of Cristhian Mosquera, a defender currently with Valencia, as they seek to bolster their backline. The North London outfit has identified strengthening their defense as a major focus this transfer window, with the young Spanish international being their top choice.
Player Background and Performance
Mosquera, who has been part of the Valencia setup since he was just 12, made his senior debut in January 2022. Over his tenure, he has accumulated a total of 90 appearances for the La Liga side, with 41 of those matches played during the previous season alone. Remarkably, he completed the full 90 minutes in 37 of those league matches, demonstrating his reliability and stamina.
Arsenal sees Mosquera, a right-footed center-back with considerable physical presence, as an excellent candidate to provide backup for their established defensive duo of Gabriel and William Saliba. They had previously shown interest in Croatian defender Dean Huijsen of Bournemouth before he opted to join Real Madrid earlier this summer.
