Angel City FC Supports Immigrant Community
In a powerful show of support for the immigrant community, Angel City FC, the National Women’s Soccer League team headquartered in Los Angeles, handed out T-shirts to fans during their event on Saturday, boldly declaring “Immigrant City Football Club.” The players and coaching staff donned these shirts prior to their match against the North Carolina Courage, symbolizing unity with the local immigrant population, which has recently faced scrutiny from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
T-Shirt Campaign Details
Each shirt featured the message “Los Angeles is for Everyone” in both English and Spanish. In total, the club distributed around 10,000 shirts to fans as a part of their solidarity effort. This initiative took place amid widespread protests in Los Angeles after President Donald Trump’s controversial immigration policies were implemented, which spurred one of several national demonstrations against these measures.
Angel City FC’s Statement

Player Associations’ Support
The players’ associations for the NWSL and WNBA echoed these sentiments in a joint message, pledging their support for those struggling under the weight of current immigration challenges. They affirmed their commitment to standing with individuals seeking safety, dignity, and opportunities, declaring:
“Every person deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. We know not every situation is simple. But offering compassion should never be up for debate.”
