$1 Million Fundraised by Golden Knights Foundation at Annual Gala Boosting Community Initiatives in Las Vegas

Vegas Golden Knights Foundation Gala Raises $1 Million

On November 2, the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation celebrated its annual gala, “A Golden Knight,” managing to raise an impressive $1 million. This substantial amount will be channeled into supporting various nonprofit organizations and community programs in Southern Nevada. The event took place in the elegant settings of LIV Beach and LIV Las Vegas, located within the Fontainebleau Las Vegas, and boasted a lively atmosphere that featured live performances, gourmet food, and signature cocktails. Participants included not just the players and coaches from the team, but also staff and loyal fans, all coming together for a common cause.

Exciting Auctions and Community Impact

The gala’s excitement was amplified by live and silent auctions, where guests had the chance to bid on unique items. Notable auction pieces included a complete set of jerseys autographed by the team and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to shadow head coach Bruce Cassidy and his staff during a practice session.

“It’s always been a great event,”

remarked head coach Cassidy, who shared his enthusiasm with KTNV, noting the fun and camaraderie enjoyed by everyone present. He highlighted how players and their partners could dress up and enjoy a night out while contributing to a meaningful purpose.

The funds raised from the gala will significantly benefit local initiatives focusing on education, youth sports, health and wellness, as well as supporting military members and first responders. These efforts aim to enhance resources for underserved communities in the Las Vegas area.

Gratitude and Entertainment

Kim Frank, the President of the VGK Foundation, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the fans for their generosity and commitment to community support.

“We are filled with gratitude for the generosity from our fans and their shared support of the community and the initiatives of the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation. The smiles we saw at the event were a testament to our players, staff, and guests, and these funds will bolster our ongoing philanthropic pursuits in the Las Vegas region,”

Frank stated.

The gala also entertained guests with performances from David Perrico’s Pop String Orchestra, a captivating mentalist, and a talented contortionist, adding an extra layer of entertainment to the evening. Having hosted the gala for the second year in a row, Fontainebleau Las Vegas provided a stunning venue for this black-tie affair. As the first major professional sports team in Las Vegas, the Golden Knights continue to solidify their identity as leaders in community engagement and support.
